“Living the American Nightmare” is an independent HD documentary directed by PawL BaZiLe, releasing in early 2011. LTAN is an exploration of the cost to working-class people who live the rock star lifestyle and of the pitfalls to achieving fame without a payday.
In 1998, visual artist and singer, Myke Hideous was asked to tour as lead vocalist for the legendary punk band, The Misfits. Before the dream could take flight and after only two quick tours, Myke was ousted. LTAN documents the aftermath, rebuilding and rediscovery of what it is to live the life of an artist in America.
Featuring interviews with Peter Steele (Type O Negative), Bill Ward (Black Sabbath), Arturo Vega (Artistic Director, The Ramones), Bobby Steele (Misfits, The Undead) and Merle Allin (GG Allin and the Murder Junkies), as well as interviews with members of Samhain, Danzig, Modern English, The Bouncing Souls, Murphy’s Law, Overkill, Spahn Ranch, Mister Monster, Blitzkid and more.
